MORERE OIL WELLS

DRILLING TO BE RESUMED

Progress iri the development of the Morere oil wells, controlled by the Taranaki Oil Fields Company, is foreshadowed by Mr Arthur H. P. Moline, general manager, who returned from Australia to-day by the Niagara. “Our new rotary drilling equipment is due to reach here to-morrow,” said Mr Moline. “I am going on to Wellington to meet Mr S. P. Hart, expert American driller, who will be taking charge of our field operations. We will proceed to Morere, in the Gisborne district, and hope to resume drilling in November. 1 have always had confidence that we' will get oil,” added Mr Moline, “ and although we have been looking for it for five .years I was never more sanguine' than I am today.”
