Poverty Bay defeated Hawke’s Bay here on Saturday, on very heavy ground in squally weather, by eight points to three. BLENHEIM, August 26. : A large crowd and procession of cars welcomed the return of the Marl borough Rugbyites with .the Seddon Shield after beating Nelson. Two Marlborough Moths met the cars a long way out and escorted them to Blenheim, circling overhead. ; The team were welcomed a-nd congratulated hv the Mayor and the member for Wairau (Mr E. F. Healey) amid cheering thousands.
