The. “Daily Express)! says that as a result of the trans-Atlantic telephone talk, Professor Carlyle, manager of the Prince of Wales! E.P. Ranch at Alberta, gives prominence to the fact that the ranch, of j six thousand acres, lies on the track of a vast, rich oil stream, and borings are slow-ly-creeping up to its borders., Two hundred and seventeen companies are operating in the vicinity and experts are confident the strike can be made on the Prince’s estate at a depth of 5500 ft with a possible yield of £5)000,000. : l ' ,> V.
Carlyle says the question of the Prince’s right to the oil is at present a subject of negotiation with; the Canadian Government. He thinks the Prince will be entitled to take out licenses.
