GAS FOR HEAT

The use of gas for heat has come into great vogue of late. In all the large countries where gas is produced there lias been a wonderful increase in the consumption of gas. As some tangible evidence of this there is the great improvements of late in all classes of appliances for which gas may be used. The advance in that respect has Been quite remarkable. The reason for this is that it is now fully recognised that gas is supreme for heating purposes. A. Sydney architect says: "it is when we come to room heating, cooking, hot water in bulk, and other cases, that we find, gas is unique'in its cheapness, flexibility and simpleness.” In most cities now gas is all the vogue, and few houses, are erected now within range of; a gas service which have, not a ,complete equipment with gas for cooking, heating, washing etc. . , The greHt advance in appliances remarked *on'above give a wide range of choice, both in respect to the size of the house and the size, of one’s pocket. The appliances, too, may'be procured on deferred payment. The • Hokitika Gas Coy. having; made provision now for an enlarged storage of gas is able to meet all demands on the supply. Householders should enquire about installing appliances, and the terms can be ascertained, Mr W. H.
