MURDER CHARGE
BRAUMAN; IN DOCK. By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 22. Charged with the murder of Annabelle Dorothy Deans Brauman, on August 7th, William Henry Brauman, who was discharged from hospital yesterday . afternoon, - appeared in the Police Court this morning. The public gallery- was packed, several women being among the curious crowd. Brauman stepped shakily into the dock. He appeared to be still weak from bis injuries and grasped the rails to support himself as he walked into the dock. Over his damaged eye lie wore a bandage and a shade. lirauman was not represented by counsel, no solicitor having been engaged vet to watch his interests. Chief-Detective Cameron asked for a remand for one week. He said on Wednesday next he would probably be able to arrange for a fixture for the hearing of the charge. -Magistrate Bartholomew granted tliei remand.
