ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

[By T elegraph, Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 21. Fat Cattle.—There was an average yarding of fat cattle of quality, and a good sound sale. Extra heavy steers made £22 to £23 17s Gd, : one special selling at £24 17s 6d; prime £lB 10s to £22; medium £ls 10s to £-8 ss; light £l3 to £ls, plain £l2 to £l4; heavy heifers £l4 to £ls 10s; prime £l3 to £ls 15s, medium £ll 10s to! £l4, light £9 to £11; heavy cows £l3 10s to £ls 10s,. and one special £lB 17s 6d; prime £l7 10s, medium £ll to £l3 ss, others £8 5s to £lO 15s. ;plain from £5 10s.

Sheep.—There wps a large entry of fat sheep, the market being steady. Extra prime heavy weathers sold 41s to 53s 3d, heavy wethers 42s to 465, prime wethers 36s to 41s, medium. 32s to 355, light 27s to 30s ; extra heavy prime ewes to 435, heavy eives 36s to 41s, prime ewes 30s to 355, medium 25s to 20s, light ewes 20s to 245. Store Sheep.—There was-- a, small yarding of store sheep, principally breeding ewes, and a dragging sale, pieces being irregular. Pigs.—There was a small entry of bacon, and values were slightly firmer. There was an irregular sale for pork. A. small yarding of store pigs met a keen demand.
