CLASH AT MAREIN
CIVIL WAR PREDICTED. (United Prees Association—By Electric Teleg. —Copyright). \ %v __ LONDON, Aug. 20. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Vienna correspondent says: The latest reports give three killed and two hundred injured in the clash at Marien. This, together with previous clashes and“Heinwehr” leaders’ speeches, is causing anxiety, and an outbreak of civil war is predicted in September, when the harvest has been gathered and when’the “Heimwehr” can call on the peasant forces. The “Heimwehr” is known to pos* sess 'large hidden depots of arms, with which the Government has not interfered.
The Socialists are practically unarmed, but say the workers will be compelled to take action themselves to defend the Constitution and the Republic.
