MIAMI, August 17
•James Horace Alderman, king of rum runners on the Florida Coast and regarded as the most desperate sea criminal of modern times in America, was hanged to-day. About a year ago he killed two Coastguards and a Federal Secret SerWcK man. He oa-ptured a coastguard. .. patrol boat and almost succeeded fn blowing it to fragments. Before lie was executed, ho stated that in Uncle Sam’s coasfc warfare he had made a million dollars, which he left to his family, with this note :--- “Remember ihe violation of the Maw does not get you anything bait trouble. Am ready to, pay.’’
