WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. The usual meeting of the WesHCtoaft Coast Rugby Union Executive was liejd last evening at Greymouth. The affiliation fee of £4 4s was received from Westland Sub-Union. A satisfactory letter was received from the United Club re playing Preston. A letter was received from Nelson Union thanking the West Coast Union for making the recent trip under such trying circumstances, and wishing Mr Adams a speedy recovery. There wqs also a letter from Mrs Kemnitz, of Nelson, thanking the Union for its expression of sympathy in the death of her husband. - Accounts amounting to £llO were passed for payment. S. McCarthy’s name was ordered to be forwarded to the New Zealand Union foi 1 reverting to the League code. A player was reinstated to tlie Rugby Union code. It was arranged that the Primary school match, Grey v. Hokitika, be played at Hokitika on Saturday next, 17th inst. A protest from Star Club against United Club playing a senior in tho : r juniors on Saturday last, was .dismissed. The United Club were awarded the match against Blaketown owing- to thq latter team not taking the field last Saturday. The Cobden Club were awarded the junior cup for the 1929 season. Fixtures were made as follows: Seniors: Kiwis v. Stars at Grey (Mr W. Williams referee); United v. Excelsiors at Hokitika (Mr Cutbush); Brunner v. Blaketown at Brunner (Mr 1). Mclvor).
