SOVIET AND MOTOR CARS. An agreement providing for the construction of Ford motor cars in Russia was signed early in June. Under this agreement, which extends for nine years, the Soviet authorities will construct a Ford factory.at Nigri Novgorod, and will purchase Ford products to the value of £6,000,000 within four years. 'On the other hand the Ford headquarters will furnish the Russians with technical advice, and will also give instruction in motor car manufacturing to the Soviet technical staffs. This is believed to be another step in the fight between the Ford organisation and the General Motors Corporation of America for control of European motorcar markets.
