TN PURSUANCE of the powers vested in it by the Rating Act, 1925, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, and the amendments thereto, the Hokitika Borough Council will, at a meeting to be held at the Town Hall, Hokitika, on FRIDAY the 23rd. AUGUST 1929, at 7.30 p.m., make and levy the following! RATES on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hokitika, for the year commencing on the Ist. DAY OF APRIL, 1929, and ending on the 31st. DAY OF MARCH, 1930, namely:— 1 A GENERAL RATE under Sections 77 and 98 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920“ of EIGHTPENCE (8d) in the £. A SEPARATE RATE under Section 52 of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, of TWO-PENCE HALF-PENNY (2*d) in the £. SPECIAL RATES (annually recurring) of ONE PENNY HALF-PENNY FIVE-EIGHTHS PENCE (gd), THREE-EIGHTHS PENCE (gd), ONE PENNY (Id) in the £. SANITARY FEE—Uniform Annual iFee as provided, by Section 89, of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of EIGHTEEN SHILLINGS per pan.
