VISIT OF ENGLISH TEAM. By T elegraph, Per Press Association.J CHRISTCHURCH, August 8. k At to-night’s, meeting Of the New Zealand Cricket Council, it was decided to a.pprove of sending a New Zealand team fc> England in 1931, provided the Management Committee can see its way clear, on the question of finance. 1 Referring to the visit of the English team next summer, Mr CargiT said the team would include at least eight professionals and there would also be such drawing cards as Gilligan, Duleepsihglii and Woolley. ; The Secretary (Mr Wiiisor) reported that so far as the major associations were concerned no definite replies had been received from Otago or Canterbury. Of minor associations Wairarapa, Hawke’s. Bay, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Nelson, and Waikato 'had agreed matches. None of the Associations had turned the Council down.
