CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
RESULT OF. MOTOR FATALITY

WELLINGTON, Aug. 7
As a sequel to of Percy Barker Phipson; after being struck by George Mitchell’s motor car on 7th. March, the widow, through her son, is claiming £ISOO damages in the Supreme Court. Phipson was head brewer of N.Z. Breweries, drawing £1250 a year. Mitchell is a well-known city man, active in public affairs.
Counsel for the defence said it would be contended that deceased was lying on the road when the car ran into him.
Medical evidence called, said the skull was fractured in two places, also the breastbone and six ribs were broken.
