Conditions for play were bleak and windy. Morpeth putted well throughout. Once he sliced' into the rough Sand in a tearing shot to get clear, he hit two (balls out. One was his own and the other was a lost ball lying unnoticed alongside. Horton was unreliable in Bhort Bhots. Rosa started badly by losing the first three holes.
