REPLACEMENT OF INJURED PLAYERS; DISCUSSION IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, August 1. There is an agitation, in Sydney R.ugby Union circles to abolish the rule which permits a team to replace an injured player during the first half of a game. This occurred during some -of the recent matches between New Zealand and Australia, and is described in the Press as farcical. It is not allowed by the English or New Zealand Unions. - - It is understood that O. G. Porter does not approve of the replacement of injured men. RETURNING TO .DOMINION. SYDNEY, Aug. 2/ The Ulimaroa sailed at 4 p.m. for Auckland, with the All Blacks aboard. They’ were given a most enthusiastic send-off by Union officials and the navy friends they made during the tour.
