THE ALL BLACKS
' ' LEAVING TO-DAY. (Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 11.25. a.m.) SYDNEY, August 2. The “Herald’’ editorially says the New Zealanders depart to-day, having enhanced .'their reputation for sportsmanship and clean play. Defeats by Africa and 'Australia are new experiences to the All Blacks, and raise doubts as to the expediency of the tactical disposition of their forwards. It is at least arguable that a scrum of seven men must be beaten more often than by a scrum of eight. The “Herald” adds that followers of the Union code are greatly indebted to New Zealand for the periodical visit of teams which eased the financial position and provided our players with invaluable experience.
