Alessrs G. H. Nicholas and. Coy’s workshop, on the top floor, was destroyed, car accessories, battery, and tractor fittings and parts being totally destroyed. A billiard room adjoining, owned by Nicholas and:Coy, and leased by Air A. Begg/ was also badly damaged.

A strong protest was entered by a meeting of delegates to the North Canterbury Centre of the Athletic Union last evening against the decision of the New Zealand Union to grant the New Zealand Road Championship to Taranaki.
