ASSAULTED WOMEN

FRANCIS PLEADS GUILTY. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, July 31. William Edward Francis, the young man who assaulted and robbed a young woman passing through the Technical School grounds on her way home on Saturday night, appeared before Mr Page, S.M. and pleaded guilty to this charge. 111 respect' to twot other women, j nothing appeared in the evidence- / / to show any motive other than robbery. Accused apparently ran up from behind the woman, using the path through the Technical Grounds, which forms a short cut. After the Saturday night robbery a Police Sergeant went to the path, and accused came along and was arrested with the articles inhis possession.
