ILLNESS OF A MEMBER. It is a matter of regret among members of all parties that the Hon. Sir Maui Pomare (Western Maori) is seriously ill. He has been indisposed for some weeks, and lias not been well enough to put in an appearance so far this session. Sir Maui’s ready wit and humorous mode of expression, no less than his ever ready interjections, deprive the debates of some of their spice. Just before the House adjourned last week members were slightly alarmed when the Prime Minister announced that on Tuesday an adjournment might be necessary owing to the death of an absent member. .However, Sir Joseph Ward corrected himself by saying: “An ex-member,” when there came an anxi-' ous chorus of “Who is he?” The member referred to was Mr J. F. Arnold, who represented Dunedin Central many years ago.
“ Prevention is better than cure.” inhale “ Nazol ” at the first sign of a cough or cold—it is a powerful preventive. 60 doses for la fid.—Advt.
