THE LATE D.O’SULLIVAN
The funeral of the late Mr Denis O’Sullivan, Telegraph Overseer, of Palmerston North, whose death took place at Westport on Sunday morning, took place to Hokitika Cemetery this morning, and was attended by a large number of friends. The services at All Saints’ Church and the graveside were conducted by Rev. Nelson Wright. A largo number of very ! handsome floral tributes were placed on the grave from friends and various departments with which deceased was connected. The following official tribute was received by Mrs O’Sullivan:— * “ It is with deepes't 1 regret that 1 have heard of the death of your husband, whose high character, loyal service, and outstanding ability has alVways commanded the respect and admiration of all those with whom he has worked.
“ The .Secretan,' of the Department and the Chief Telegfaph Engineer * have asked me to convey to you their sincere regret at the sad news, and to ask you to accept, in conjunction, with the Wellington engineering staff, their deepest sympathy.—Yours faithfully, J. MeOERMOTT, District graph Engineer, Post and Telegrapnr Department Wellington.”
