Poincare is Buffering from inflammation of the prostato gland, for which two painful operations will be necessary, with an interval between. M. Clemenceau successfully underwent a similar operation a few years ago. EX-PREMIER’S REPLY. RTJOT’V. J u ly 28. King George -telegraphed yesterday to M. Poincare expressing concern at the news of his illness. Replying to a message of sympathy sent by Mr Ramsay MacDonald, M. Poincare telegraphed: “I thank your Excellency for your kind wishes. I regret circumstances compel me to interrupt by friendly collaboration with the British Government, and I • affirm most ardent wishes for the success of the work of peace to which our two countries have already consecrated so many efforts.”
