WELLINGTON, July 29
Cabinet to-day decided to proceed with the extension of the breakwater at Westport, at a cost of approximately £50,000.
In making the announcement the Prime Minister said that negotiations were to be entered * into for the purchase of the dredge Maui from the Gisborne Hartxnir Board, with the idea of further increasing the depth of water.
