LECKIE KNOCKED OUT. SARRON WINS RETURN FIGHT. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, July 28. A stirring fight between Leckie and Sarron saw the latter avenge the former points defeat by knocking the New Zealander out in the thirteenth round. - Sarron had the best of the bout all through, only Leckie’s wonderful grit staving off the end. He fell in the first round to a stiff short left, but was up at once. His eagerness in the second round gave Sarron an opening for a left hook which floored the New Zealander for eight. He needed the spell, but attacked immediately to he floored again, though lie had the satisfaction of seeing the American down momentarily. Leckie was at his best in the second and third rounds when he was a shade better on points. After that the American had matters practically all his own way, and the New Zealander took heavy, punishment being down twice in the eleventh round.

A battery of left hooks and right swings in the 13th. finished Leckie who was half through the ropes, helpless, but he came hack to be dropped by a smashing right to the chin. DELANY BEAT CONNORS.
