CHANNEL FLIGHT

Bleriot, who first flew the Channel in 1909, commemoratively flew from Le Bourget to Dover in the latest Bierot monoplane, accompanied by two navigators and a pi; Force areoplanes met the Frenchmen near Dover Clift's, and escorted them to Sw in gate Aerodrome, where crowds wildly cheered. A beautiful landing was made. The Alayor and the French Consul, and Sefton Brartckor, welcomed the fl’ers in the meadow, where-Bleriot first landed after a thirty-seven minutes’ flight, compared with to-day’s fifteen minutes. Al. Bierot said, with eight re-fuelling stations in the Atlantic, planes would proceed from London to America in 1949, as easily as the Channel was flown at .present.
