WEDDING BELLS

A quiet, but pretty, wedding was .solemnised at All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, on July 24th, by the Rev. E. Osmers, when Leslie, second son of Mr and Mrs A. Jamieson, of Koiterangi, syus married to Marie, second daughter of Air and Mrs D. Mancra, of Ruatapu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of silver lame and fanchon lace, which added to her material Inanity. Her veil of embroidered tulle was draped from a cap of silver net over a circlet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of ivory and pale pink roses and maiden hair fern. Miss E. Manera who attended her sister as bridesmaid wore a model frock of shell pink georgette bandeau of pink tulle was edged with diamante and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and delpheniums and maiden hair fern. Mr J. H. Arnerich (uncle of the bride) ably carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Preston’s Tea Rooms where Mrs Manera received the guests attired in a frock of cinnamon clinr.maline and fawn hat. Mrs Jamieson (mother of the bridegroom) wore a navv costume and black satin hat. The happy couple received many telegrams of congratulations and also a number of cheques, before departing on a honeymoon tour of the North 'lsland. The bride’s travelling dress consisted of a beige oos‘tume with lint and shoes to match.
