During a miserably cold wet dev, two aeroplanes crossing the J !, u« crashed and were badly damaged. The pilots escaped but a man 'with his wife, passengers, were seriously injured.

Further details of the mountain ’plane crash show that'although severely injured, Neil Stewart and his wife had a miraculous escape from death, when the plane was smashed to matchwood igainst a tree. , The occupants of the second plane landed in a swamp and were uninjured, but the plane was totally wrecked. GERMAN SUCCESSFUL. BERLIN, July 26. The Dornier-Dox machine made a perfect flight, rising from Lake Constance with 58 tons of ballast, GRAF ZEPPELIN TRIAL. BERLIN. July 27. The Graf Zeppelin made a successful four hours’ trial flight round Lake Constance. She carried twenty-five passengers. “IL DUOE,” FLIES. ROME, July 27. A naval seaplane, piloted by the Under-Secretary for Air Major Maddelena, carrying Signor Mussolini, landed at Rnnini, after a flight along the coast, via Naples, Messina and Brindisi. The plane covered 125 miles in 10 hours 50 minutes. RECORD FLY. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 27. The St. Louis-Robin aeroplane was up 350 hours at 9.17 on Saturday night and is still flying. MONOPLANE CRASHES. (Received this dav at 8.30. a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 28. A message from Tacoma states tlie monoplane, City of Tacoma, piloted by Lieut. Harold Bromley, crashed during a take-off on a scheduled non-stop flight to Tokio to-day. The ’plane was damaged but Bromley was not hurt.
