; Fat sheep—A medium entry, with many plain and unfinished sorts forward Competition was keen with a hardening tendency. Extra wethers realised 50s to 565, heavy 37s to 435, medium 30s to 38s, plain 24s to 295. Ewes: Heavy 35s to 41s, medium 25s to 345, light 18s to 245. Store sheep and lambs—A very small yarding. Mixed sex half-bred made 18s 3d, half bred wethers 17s to ..,s Id. half-bred ewes 28s 3d to 30s.
Adult sheep—Small yarding, with good competition. Two, 4; 6, and 8 tooth ewes, close to lambing, made 32s 9d to 37s 6d; sound mouth Romney ewes, close to lambing, 30s Id, crossbred to 28s, 4 and 6 tooth wethers 26s Gd, half-bred good mouth wethers 24s to 2os 3d, inferior 15s 9d to 225. Pigs—A medium entry with prices on a par with last week. Light sorts realised £3 5s to £3 15s, heavy £4 to £4 12s 6d, extra to £4 ss. There was a large offering of pork. Prices were easier. Choppers made 50s to 475. light porkers 38s to 50s, heavy 52s to 58s Gd, average 7Jd per lb.
