NORTH ISLAND CAMPAIGN. (By Telegraph—Press Association). HAWERA, July 20. Mr W. Grounds (ex-Chairman of the Dairy Produce Board), and Mr W. Goodfellow (Managing' Director of Amalgamated Dairies) addressed a gathering of 200 dairymen this afternoon on the proposals for a co-ordi-nated marketing effort in conjunction with the Australian Wholesalers’ and. Producers’ Federation.: their remarks being on the lines of their previous meetings elsewhere.

, MOTOR. CYCLE TRAGEDY. NEW PLYMOUTH,. July • 20. At Makota.wa,, two miles beyond Inglewood, this afternoon, two young men, Bremuhl and Sheeliy. when going from New Plymouth to Stratford on a motor cycle, collided with the back of a lorry that was Carting metal. Bromuhl died shortly after fmm head injuries. Slieehy was taken to the hospital suffering from concussion.

ELDERLY MAN KILLED. AUCKLAND. July 21. Harry Haskett, a married man, aged 70, of Pollen Street, Ponsonbv, was knocked down Ibv a motor car in the New North Road early last evening, and he sustained fatal injuries. He was.admitted to the hospital suffering from severe injuries to , the head, and he died several hours later. The car. was driven by F. E. Vogwill, a dairyman* living at Mount Roskill.
