DALGLEISH SHIELD, Hf WON BY GREYMOUTH. /

Hokitika and Greymouth teams played a match for the Dalgleish , Shield on the Greymouth links last Saturday. Greymouth won,- the scores being:—Hokitika-: Steel 90 89; Neville 84 87; Partridge 83 89; Spencer 94 81. GreymoutK: McCarthy 99 77; Meltirum 69 (equal to the course record) 78, Smith 80 75, Shallcrass 81 88. - In matches for the singles of the ladies’ and men’s competitions for two cups donated by Messrs Caliari and Field,- at Hokitika, Greymouth were successful in both competitions. The mixed foursomes played at Hokitika resulted in a win for the home team.

Matches between Greymouth end Hokitika “B” teams were played at the Mahinapua Links during the week-end for tlie Field Cup and Caliari Cup. In both cases Greymouth were the victors. Mr H. Kortegast’s trophy for the mixed foursome was won by Mrs Brown and Mr Croudic. The scores were as follows, Hokitika players being mentioned first: Houston lost to Croudie 4 and 3. Baker lost to Graham 6 and 5. .Kortegast beat Brown 3 up. Anderson lost to Casey 2 up. Nicholls beat Olney 5 and 4. Caliari beat McKay 5 and 3. Adams beat Parkinson 4 and 2.
