MOTOR CYCLIST BADLY HURT DC [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, July 19 As the result of a collision between a car and a motor cycle at Woodlands to-day, the rider of the latter, William Mac®or, of Edendale, was admitted to the Southland Hospital, suffering from a badly smashed leg and several minor wounds. His condition is serious. A DEPRAVED MAN. INVERCARGILL, July 19. In the Police Court to-day, Roland Norman Wilson, a married man, was convicted on a charge of having indecently and obscenely exposed himself, and he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. MAORI KILLED. WAIROA, July 20. A well known Maori, Rangi Brown, married, :aged SO, was killed while working In a Public Works quarry at Opoutama on Wairoa-Gisbor»e railway construction works late afternoon. Deceased was engaged firing shots high up on the slope when a large piece of rock fell from above and hit his head, Brown falling to the bottom of the quarry. A shot then occurred, bringing down a fall of earth, covering the unfortunate man. When removed, Brown was found dead being evidently killed by the rock.
