An important devel pment in the co-operative marketing of dairy produce, involving the union of Australian and New Zealand exporting interests is being completed, ineneasing the dependence of Britain upon, tlio Dominions for winter supplies of dairy produce It is being encouraged by Australian and New Zealand Producers’ representatives to combine in selling operations aiul .establishing a imuKeting company in Lpndon to take over the sale and distribution of butter and cheese. Selling activities will be concentrated upon developing one brand, the idea being such as a word as “Anchor”. for New Zealand and another, not yet decided, for the Australian product. Direct shipments to the Midlands and North of England will be arranged. The scheme is purely co-operative, apart frm. limited interests on capital. Ail profits will lie returned to the countries concerned.
