WELLINGTON, July 19

The Arbitration Court awarded John Howard, of Napier, a tunnel worker, £IOOO, less 44 weeks compensation already paid, the net total bein £740, for injuries to bis head, received in Kotemaori tunnel by falling from an overhead tramway. Alfred Crossey, a labourer, who was injured on road works in Wairurapa, obtained £250 compensation. J. W. Reynolds, a labourer, was awarded £261 for the loss'of an eye.
