Salmon, S.M. at the Court this afternoon on Gaming Act charges. Thomas 'Henderson Teesdale, a tea rooms proprietor;' who pleaded guilty V to : a charge of/;conducting a eoihmon ganiing ' hdus6; . Vl >yas‘ fined <£so.' A charge against’Teesdale of carrying on the business’ of a bookmaker was withdrawn. Herbert' Allah; a billiard room keep- 1 r. erj was charged with carrying on the business .of ’ aj&bbokmaker; also with keeping a common gaming house and loitering in the street for the purpose of bettingr ■ William Elder was charged with assisting in'the management of a gaming house. Thomas Connell and Edward Lavery were charged with being found in a gaining house.. .Each pleaded not guilty. All were remanded on bail.
