DELANEY V. BROWN. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., July 17. The 'fifteen rounds professional lightweight boxing contest between .Bert Brown, of Palmerston North, who has just returned from America, after being away four years, and Bobby Delaney, of Australia, took' place to-night. Delaney won in 'the twelfth round on a technical knock-out, Brown’s seconds at the same time throwing in the towel.

The Australian outboxod and outfought Brown, and nad a superiority from the fourth round onwards. Brown scaled 9.2 and Delaney 9.3.
