ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.
CHRISTCHURCH,. July 17
at Cattle. —There was a good entry of. lieelf, the market being firm, with a slight advance on the previous week. Extra heavy steers sold from £l9 15s fo £23 12s 6d, prime , £l7 10s to £lB 15s, medium £l6 to £l7, light £l3 10s to £l4 10s, plain £l3 to £l4 10s; heavy heifers £ls to £l6 17s 6d, prime £l2 10s to £l3 15s, medium £lO 10s to £l2, light £9 5s to £lO 15s; extra heavy cows £l4 to £ls 10s; prime £ll 10s to £l3 ss, medium £9 to £lO 15s, light £6 10s to £7 10s. Fat Sheep.—There was a small yarding, prices being similar to last week. Extra wethers sold 37s Gdyto 40s, prime 32s .to 365, light 27s to 31s; heavy ewes.32s to 36s 7d. medium 27s to 31s, light 24s to 26s 6d.
Store Lambs.—-There-, was a very small offering. Half-bred wethers sold 15s 4d to 18s lOd; three-quarter-bred ewes 24s 4d to 25s 4d. The adult store'' entry was small, and the prices were on a par with last week. Crossbred wethers sold to 32s 3d, half-bred to i 3ls 6d, two-tooth half-bred ewes to 35s 6d, four and six-tooth 'three-quar-ter-bred ewes to 38s Id: sound mouth Corriedale ewes well Woolled to 34s 3d; failing mouth crossbred ewes to 28s Id. All the above were showing well in lamb. Aged ewes sold down to Ids 3d. Pigs.—There was a small yarding of pork and bacon, prices being on a par with last week. Choppers fetched £3 10s to £6; pork 42s to 555; heavy 57s to 6”s; average BAd per lb. Bacon fetched £3 10s to £3 17s, heavy to £5. Stores were the same as last week.
