LATE LOCALS.

The death,took place at the District Hospital, Westport, on Monday of Mrs Barraclough, wife of Dr Barraclough of Karamea. Deceased was urgently brought to Westport last week by the s.s.-Nile in a precarious state of health, and appeared to he taking a turn for the better, but sank rapidly again and passed away as stated above. Dr Barraclough left for Karamea overland on Sunday and with Mr J. W. Alunson is returning to Westport today, coining by Little Wanganui. The death is a sad blow to the doctor with whom the whole community sympVthises in his loss. The deceased who was about 32 years of age, was a native of Tauranga. whither the body will’be taken for interment,
