GUN CLUBS CONFER

HASTINGS, July 17

At the annual meeting of New Zealand Gun Clubs Association held last evening, E. Groome (Otane) presiding over a good attendance, the election of officers resulted: President, E. Groome; vice-president, Dr. W. H. Sampson (Christchurch), H. J. Nitz (Masterton); referees, L. A. Sliand (Christchurch) and one to be appointed by the North Island Executive.

Auditors, W. R. Heney (Christchurch). North Island Executive, J. Dunlop (Wanganui), T. V. Morrin (Hastings), H. A. Quarterman (Taihape)) N. D. Stubbs (Palmerston North), T. J. Watts (Auckland); South Island, F. G. Frampton (Doyleston), A. Prestrey (Rangiora), R. S. Taylor (Christchurch), M. Skilling (Rangiora), G. E. Turner (Dunefiin). Secretary and Treasurer, A. N. Turner (Christchurch). The 1930 N.Z. Championships were allocated to clubs. North Canterbury Club at Rangiora (sparrows), Springston on Christchurch grounds, (pigeons) Christchurch Club.

North Island Championships—-Clays Palmerston North; sparrow pigeons to he allocated by the N.Z. Executive.

The following clubs will control South Island champion matches: —

Clays—Dunedin. Sparrows—Christchurch. Pigeons—North Canterbury. Provincial Clay Championships were allocated as follows :—Auckland (New Lynn), Hawke’s Bay (Napier and East Coast), Wellington (Wanganui), Canterbury (Methven), Otago (Palmerston South). Many remits were dealt with.
