IMPERIAL TRADE RELATIONS. The Government is most anxious to promote the closest trade relations with the dominions and every part of the Empire, hut it does not believe that these relations can be placed on the oest footing of mutual advantage by a system of preferential duties.—Mr Snowden, Chancellor of the Exchequer.
