AUSTRALIAN TEAM ARRIVES: (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 16. The, Australian hockey team arrived to-day from Sydney and was welcomed by officials of the New Zealand Association and members of the Wellington Association, and later luncheoned at an hotel. 'The team is a youthful one, but is considered the best that lias ever left Australia. The grounds on the other side have been heavy lately and therefore the team should be ready for New Zealand conditions. The trip over was not good, but the players look . forward confidently to the opening match with Wairarapa at Cartertbn on Thursday.
