WHEAT CROPS. SMART PRICE RISE. (Per Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). VANCOUVER, July 15. A Winnipeg message reports wheat fields in some sections the prairie provinces were near ruin through lack of moisture. Wheat prices jumped lljj per cent, a bushel to-day, establishing record levels for the resent season. NEW YORK, July 15. A Chicago report states a continuance of drought and hot weather on the Canadian prairies has forced wheat ■pwards nearly nine cents per bushel to-day.
CROP REDUCTION. (Received this day at 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 15. A Chicago message states the Bureau of Agricultural Economics announced it is believed there will be a reduction of a million bushels in this year’s wheat crop under that of last year as indicated in the Federal estimates as .allied on July 7th. This may nearly offset in tlie carry over of the old grain, while the relatively low prices if wheat, together with the shortage >f food grains in Europe, are stipulating the rnovemerit-of last year’s reco’rd supplies. . •
