COLLIERY DISASTER
IN WALES. (United Press Association.— By Electri. Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, July 10. Ei"ht lives were lost to-clay in an explosion at Milluiren Colliery, Vhxenavon. South Wales. About 60 men were working in the pit at the time. Four of these were killed outright and four others were trapped below. All hope of their rescue was abandoned after gallant efforts by rescue parties had been frustrated by poisonous gases and falls of rock.
