V Another attempt /was made this eveningJto..destroy the garage owned by B; 0> Robson, at Hereford Place, in. which throe cars were saturated with, petrol and fired Tuesday even- . y This evening the petrol store of the garage was fired, and only the prompt A arrival of the Fire Brigade saved the building from destruction. This petrol store is a small shed annexe,,in which cafee spirit and kerosene was stoned. A passer-by saw flames in this store 'aCß,w p.m. ' and gave'an alarm. . : ‘'Wlien the Brigade arrived the posifciom'wfis dangerous, as there was the <[yisk of a heavy explosion, hut quick work with the chemical engine smothered the fire. Little damage was done, lit' seemed that the. shed .had been ennot by forcing the door, but bv unlocking it with a key, as on the previous occasion.' The alarm of fire was followed five minutes later by a second call, and, as on Tuesday, this second call proved a false alarm.
