HOKITIKA BOXING CLUB

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10th. A meeting of the Hokitika Amateur Boxing and Gymnastic Club took place in Kellers Rooms. Present: F. McGregor (chair), J. Turner, R. Furness, F. Rallinger, E. W. Heenan and E. Best (secretary). • / The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

In moving the adoption of the balance sheet for last tourney, the President expressed gratitude at the support given to the Club by the local press, also to those enthusiasts who had presented medals (Messrs Langford and Stopforth), and others whose gratuous services had helped in showing a satisfactory credit balance of £l7 7s 4d. Seconded by R. Furaess and carried. Accounts for £ll 19s lid were passed for payment. Messrs C. Ferguson, N. Rowe, and J. Atkinson being in attendance, they were presented bv the President with medals won at the tourney.

it was moved that letters of thanks be forwarded to Dr Bruce-Baird, Referee F. O’Neil, and the junior members of the Black Hand Orchestra—Carried. It was moved by the President, and seconded by E. W. Heenan, that a boys’ tourney be held in the near future at a date to be decided later.— Carried.
