The attendance was good for an off day. The.track, although on the heavy side, was fair. The racing > was - interesting, with close finishes. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. TRENTHAM, July 11. Perfect weather ruled for tlie second day of the' Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting. The track is still 'heavy after the frost. There is a moderate attendance. Corunna Hurdles:—(3) Horomea 1, (2) Waltzer 2, <(G) Inferno 3. All started. Won by a length. TJime 5.15. Trial Plate:—(3) Hopwood 1, (2) Shortly 2, (4) Great Lady 3. Scr. — Golden Shadow. Won by six lengths; .a head. Time 1.19 j. Second Hack Steeples:—(2) Alaric 1, (1) Royal Elm 2, (8) Boomerday 3. All started. Won by five lengths; two and a half lengths.
