PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, THE KANIERI ELECTRIC LIMITED, a duly registered company, having its office at Hokitika, and carrying on business as an Electrical Supply Company for mining and other purposes, hereby applies for a license for a waterrace, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose. Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 4th July, 1929, at 4 p.m. Date and number of miner’s right: Ist July, 1929. No. 25209. Address for service: At the office of Park and Murdoch, solicitors, Hokitika., Dated at Hokitika this 6th day of July, 1929' SCHEDULE. Locality of the Race, and of its starting and terminal points: Block XI, Kanieri Survey District, starting at peg KIT. on the eastern side of the head of applicant’s water race No. 2690 and terminating in said Race No. 2690 at the guage box of said Race No. 2690 at Peg Kill. Upon the grant hereof applicant’s Water-race at Sunny Bight, Lake Kanieri, for ICO heads will be surrenderod. Length and Intended Course of race: Half a chain. Course: northwesterly as per sketch plan filed herewith. Points of intake: On the northern 'shore of Lake Kanieri. Estimated Time and Cost of Construction: Three months. £250; Mean depth and breadth: 5 feet wide by nine feet deep. Number of heads to be diverted: 100 heads. Purpose for which Water is to be used: Mining purposes and feeding and driving machinery and the generation of electricity and power to bo used for domestic lighting, heating and industrial purposes.
