HEAVY RAIN. FALLS IN ENGLAND. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 4. Heavy rain, accompanied by violent thunderstorms, fell over most of England early to-day thus breaking the drought which had become severe in many parts of the country. Nearly an inch of rain fell in London, and three inches on the East Coast.
FLIGHT TO DURHAM. MR MACDONALD SAVES TIME. RUGBY, July 4. The Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, who recently flew from Lossiemouth to London, will again use an aeroplane. To enable him to keep an engagement at Durham, ho will fly from London +'-> Catterick, Yorkshire and motor to Durham from the aerodrome. He will return in the evening ,by the same route.
