MONTH OF JUNE. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] ' WELLINGTON, July 6 The weather report for June says: —With the exception of general rains between the 7th and lltli ,the weather was mainly line, and unusually mild, to the 19th. After that squally boisterous weather was general, and the May deficiency was made up. Oirly a few places in Taranaki Hawke’s Bay and North'Auckland, had less rhin than the average. There were few severe frosts, and the heavy rains maintained a good growth of vegetation, fodder being still abunant. The report mentions that there was an unusual growth of flowers, and stated that at Wellington blossoms have appeared on the Pohutukawa trees. During the last week of the month, strong winds were experienced amounting to gales in the North (Island. The period was remarkable for the number of tornadoes that occurred, the most severe being at Palmerson North, while many places recorded severe thunder and hail. A number of stock was killed, and several persons received shocks, two being rendered unconscious.
