SOVIET WORK LESS INCREASE.

GENEVA, May 17. According to statistics issued by the Internationa] -Labour Office, unemployment in Soviet Russia has been increasing at an alarming rate since 1926. Unemployed members of trade unions last year numbered approximately 1,900,000 and unemployed non-union-ists nearly 500,000. This is an increase over 1926 of more than 11 per cent. Provisional statistics for the present year indicate that on February Ist. there were 300,000 more unemployed than in October last year.
