CYCLIST KNOCKED DOWN. GREYMOUTH, July 4. A rather serious traffic accident occurred last evening in High Street, near the. intersection with Buccleugii Street, whereby Mr Thomas* Cunliffe, a resident of High Street, sustained severe injuries to his head.; He was cycling homeward about" 5.45 p.m., when a motor car belonging to a resident of Hokitika, was travelling in the direction of that town, and by some means tlie car and the bicycle came into contact. The cycle rider was thrown off and injured ,on the head to such an extent that his immediate removal to the Hospital was, necessary. It is stated that both vehicles were on . their correct' sides.
