ADELAIDE, July 2.
Mr Butler, Premier of South Australia, has declared that he now lias no intention to place orders for Brilisli coal, as the price of it, within the 'last few months, has risen from 3os 7d per ton to 52s per ton c.i.f. which price is, in his opinion, prohibitive. •Meanwhile he-hopes to be able to se-
t-lire railway coal supplies within the /onmonwealth.
